The teachers also cuddled me.

I had some time with the children in the afternoon classes. we've played some games and cuddled.

Mixing colours

I'm singing in the rain... I went to visit year 6 today where we've mixed colours and draw umbrellas in the rain. Look!

Visiting Žan and his brother

I visited Žan and his brother. We had a real boys night out time. We've watched some football, played cards and ate chips. It was really nice.

Visiting Ljubljana

Hello my friends!

 I have been very buisy and haven't been checking online much. but now I am here. What happened to me lately? I've visited Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia. 

Year 6 went to visit the capital and they kindly took me with them. We've seen Cankarjev dom, the most importan theatre, the Prešern's monument, all the bridges and a lot of importan buildings. 

You have to see Ljubljana, it's really beautiful.

I visited the year one today. They have been accepted to the school's library.

It's the children's week this week in Slovenia and all schools celebrate it with different activities. Today every class visited the library and listened to a fairy tale.

It was wonderful. look how much fun the children from year one are having.

I moved to Slovenia. The teachers Leonora and Živa got me in Lithuania and have taken me to Slovenia.

The children at Ward Green School have a new rewards scheme. Every week they must follow the rules to earn a sticker. If they earn 8 stickers before the holidays, they can be entered into a prize giveaway!

My friends are happy because they have earned their sticker!

They came to school every day. 
They arrived on time.
They were well behaved.
They had correct school uniform.

Pyrography

Hello friends,

Today one of the teaching assistants in school demonstrated how to decorate wood using pyrography. 

Pyrography is the art of decorating wood or other materials with burn marks. It is also known as pokerwork or wood burning.

Mrs Thomason was making gifts for the Romanian hosts.

Don't the owls look wonderful. I am sure our friends in Romania will enjoy them!

Folk Festival

Hello my friends around Europe,

This weekend I went to a special event in Yorkshire. It is called the Holmfirth Folk Festival. Many dancers and musicians travel to Yorkshire so they can perform.

Here are some of the 'Morris' dancers we saw. They use the sticks in their dances by hitting them together!

This Morris dancer was bit of a joker. He danced between the other dancers while they waved their sticks in the air. I thought he would get hurt! 

These morris dancers came all the way from Canada! Their costumes were covered in rags.

Here I am, having a go at Morris dancing. The dancers had ribbons just like mine!
